How Machado signing affects the Red Sox

Unless you are not a baseball fan or have been living under a rock, you know that Manny Machado recently inked a contract for 10 years at 30 mil a season. That is a lot of pocket change. Now if you are a Red Sox fan, you should be shaking in your shoes.
Xander Bogaerts can become a free agent in 2020, and Mookie Betts is set to become a free agent in 2021, and lest we forget, JD Martinez can opt out of his contract after year two and three.
That is three of your better players --- not to mention Chris Sale that needs to get a new contract.
The scary thing is how close the stats are for Xander and Manny.
These are 3 year averages for both players:

The only category that Machado is clearly better is HR. Everything else is really close. (especially if you factor in the 165 more at bats Machado has over the last 3 years)
Let’s not forget as well that Scott Boras represents both Xander and JD Martinez as well as Jackie Bradley Jr.

The next couple of years will be interesting to see what happens withe the Red Sox young core.
